Announced last week at our annual conference, the new service was influential in the dramatic event name change from Evolution to …Transformation!
"What is a compliance switching service?" I hear you cry, and "why do I need it?"
In short, it’s a seamless way to make a transformational move from a ‘meh’ compliance provider to Verve. We do all the legwork so there’s no gap in support and no overlapping costs.
When firms are winding down their inevitably long notice periods in their existing compliance contract, we'll do all the heavy lifting for them to use the Verve compliance service instead.

The idea for the new service came about after speaking to so many firms who were just a bit meh about their compliance support. They didn't actively hate them. But nor did they feel they were getting huge value from them.
However, the thought of shopping around, finding an alternative, and going through the switching process felt way too much effort just to offset apathy.
And so there is huge amount of inertia. And inertia is the enemy of progress. And anything that is the enemy of progress (in finance) is also an enemy of mine.
Account switching has been transformed in so many other spaces: utilities, banks and phones, amongst others. I recently got to the end of my expensive contract with EE; my phone was a little battered, but still worked.
Rather than a shiny new, unnecessary iPhone, I went online to O2, typed in my details, they did all the switching including porting my number to their new, super cheap PAYG tariff (£16 per month baby!) and that was me done.
It made me realise it is possible to make these things do-able if we really want to give people freedom and choice.
In compliance-land, firms haven't had any reason to give advisers freedom and choice; and no regulator is ever going to mandate it. So it hasn't happened. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen.
So we launched our compliance switching service. And given the press coverage we got, it appears to be fairly revolutionary!
