We just celebrated our super sweet 16!
This week, we turned 16 – and what better way to celebrate than with a birthday bash to rival the MTV classic?
We marked Verve’s sixteenth year in business with a weekend of partying: team lunch on Friday, followed by Town Hall, and then it was on to Sports Day. Saturday was party day with drinks and dancing - Y2K style of course.
We celebrated sixteen years of Verve with a special edition of our monthly town hall – highlighting the hard work that got us here, plus a look back over the last year and a glance ahead to what’s next.
Cathi, our Founder and CEO, does this every year on Verve’s birthday, and this year was no exception – featuring shiny silver 16 balloons!
Not forgetting the buffet lunch and birthday cake to get the whole team fuelled up for our next activity: sports day.

Split into 2 teams, it was time to go head-to-head in a series of super serious sports: relay sprints, egg and spoon race, and red light/green light.
Bonus points, of course, went to anyone who could balance a beer on their head.
It turns out we’re a surprisingly competitive bunch - especially with a Traitors-style twist!
Only a bumped head and a scraped elbow later, Team Black were declared the victors at Sports Day 2025.
The cherry on the birthday cake! We rounded off year 16 with a fabulous party full of eating, drinking, dancing and disco balls.
We went all out on the sweet 16 theme with pink balloons, sweets galore and a DJ fully briefed on the whole team’s favourite ‘straight to the dance floor’ songs.
Pretty sweet, right?
