After studying Media & IT for my A-Levels, I studied at Teesside University and received a first-class honours degree in Creative Digital Media. After University I worked in Education for 8 years as a Web and Graphic designer, before joining Verve.
It's my job to scope projects and design the wireframes for our Dextera system. I work with the developers to help them bring the designs to life. I help out in the Marketing team alongside this, with all things digital design. I'm also on the wellbeing team where we help plan all things social at Verve!
Outside of the office I love spending time outdoors with my husband & our mini sausage dog, always scouring out dog friendly attractions (and dog friendly pubs!) I also love travelling, some of my favourite destinations so far include Bali, Dubai, and Japan. I also run an Etsy shop for digital designs in my spare time.
I’m terrified of E.T (the alien). Hate him. Nightmare fuel. Also, our software, Dextera, shares the name with my sausage dog, Dexter (which gets very confusing)
Verve has the best culture and the best people. Everyone is so friendly and there’s always something to get involved in alongside your everyday role. You can expect a relaxed office atmosphere from day one (ft office dogs) and support whenever you need it!
Verve have so many things you can embed yourself in that’s not just your role – from the social events, the wellbeing team … my tips would engross yourself in all you can! It’s the best way to meet people across various departments who you wouldn’t have normally got chance to interact with, and makes you really feel involved.
